StKreo is born from a creative project of Stefania Tortella, which combines the experimental approach to forms and materials, due to her work as an architect, to the great passion for fashion and design.
In her working career mainly focused on construction and interior design, she develops interest in fashion design, creating objects and accessories.
In 2017 she joins the world of contemporary jewelry, combining her passion for craftsmanship with architect and designer skills.
After experimenting with different materials and processing techniques, she defines her design identity choosing the leather for her handmade jewelry, making one of a kind pieces, real contemporary ornaments, adding textures and shades of color painted by herself.
That’s why, the jewel becomes, as she calls it, a “tailoring architecture”, a set of shapes, materials and colors in perfect harmony with the woman who wears her bijoux.
Excellence and sustainability are the essence of the Stkreo brand. For this reason she uses chooses top quality leather, coming from the recovery of selected cuts of made in italy products through sustainable production cycles, preferring vegetable tanning.
In this way she gives a second life to leather by turning it into something “precious.” An “upcycling” process in which the materials suggest creative inspiration.
In July 2019 she takes part, as a member of the association Officine Talenti Preziosi, to in Town section of Altaroma “Bijou Green, towards a better world” dedicated to contemporary jewelry that joins sustainability.
